In every blend, our base consists of:

100% Grass-fed Beef Tallow: The foundation of SlatherUp, 100% grass-fed beef tallow, is a heritage-rich, traditional, nutrient-dense fat; rendered with care, rich in fat-soluble vitamins and remarkably compatible with the skin's natural oils. A restorative oil, it is traditionally used to support smooth, refined skin and is deeply nourishing. It closely mimics the skin's natural oils to support long- lasting moisture.

Organic African Shea Butter: Rich and restorative. Helps nourish dry skin, improve elasticity, it provides creamy deep moisture while protecting the skin barrier.

Virgin, unrefined, cold-pressed Coconut Oil: Moisturizing and protective. Helps lock in hydration and support smooth, supple skin.

Organic Castor Seed Oil: An old and deeply conditioning and cleansing oil. Helps retain moisture and support skin softness and elasticity.

Vitamin E Oil: cold-pressed, 100% pure and natural, a powerful antioxidant that helps protect skin, support healing, and extend the freshness of our blends.

At SlatherUp, we are meticulous about every ingredient in our blends. Through careful research, company reviews, and close attention to labels, we select only the finest oils and butters. We understand that our customers are rightly cautious about what they put on their skin—especially their faces. That’s why trust is the most important ingredient in everything we craft.

At this time, SlatherUp operates exclusively online so we can focus on sourcing the highest-quality ingredients and keep prices fair. We work hard to get online orders packaged and shipped same day whenever possible. We use a discounted mailing application and charge only the exact postage rate- never a mark-up.

Honestly, each blend begins with the same SlatherUp base, as described in our FAQs. From there, we add a carefully chosen essential oil that’s known to be beneficial for skin – some carry an ancient, ancestral history of use, treasured for centuries with long, well-documented traditions of wellness support. Each blend, in our shopping section, includes a synopsis explaining its unique benefits. We don’t envy your having to choose – because they are all amazing!

All of our blends are fragrance-, perfume-, synthetic-, and filler-free. The subtle aromatic notes you experience come solely from the pure essential oils we use — and nothing else. That said, we are always happy to prepare our base without essential oils. Our Pure Goodness Blend is available upon request. We truly understand that sensitive skin requires extra care when trying something new, and we fully support a gentle, cautious approach.

At this time, SlatherUp offers a 4 oz tin size only. If we see strong demand for a larger option, we may introduce an 8 oz in the future. Many customers actually enjoy purchasing two 4 oz tins, as it allows them to try two different blends if they wish. The 4 oz size is also wonderfully convenient — it slips easily into a purse, nightstand, makeup bag, or travel kit. An added bonus? You can keep a tin in several places at once… and don’t forget your car! Small in size, but mighty in usefulness.
